Open to Māori students currently studying Biochemistry, Molecular Biology & Genetics and keen to develop their career in science to support New Zealand's primary sectors.
This summer studentship programme creates a special “career experience” for high calibre candidates. Plant & Food Research is offering up to 50 student placements in locations throughout Aotearoa. All placements offer co-designed projects to suit your strengths and interests, and are supported with mentoring and development opportunities.
This programme includes a Māori Career Pathways Cohort (Te Rito) with specific placements for Māori students. The aim of these paid summer internships is to support rangatahi to gain exposure to Plant & Food Research careers in science, research and business pathways. Up to 20-25 Māori specific placements are available based across Aotearoa, New Zealand in our science and business support teams.
