Open to students from the Taranaki province who are proceeding to full time study at the Taranaki Polytechnic or at a University, Agricultural College, or an Agricultural training school.
Scholarships are valued $500 - $2,500 and usually awarded for one year. Applicants are attending or have attended Inglewood, Waitara, Okato, Opunake, Stratford or Hawera High Schools or St Mary's Diocesan School, Stratford and are between the ages of 16 and 25 years on 20th November in the year in which they apply. Preferred interest in forestry, horticulture, agriculture, pastoral farming and any other type of farming generally and to farming-related fields such as teaching and research into all aspects of farming, veterinary services and the like.
Note: applications close on the first Friday of December each year.
